Nationality:

A candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.

Application Fee:

NDA Qualification Criteria

Candidates should have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination with physics and mathematics subjects from any recognized board.

NDA Exam Pattern

Language: The medium of the exam will be set bilingually in English as well as Hindi.

It consists of two papers as below:

·        The first paper is Mathematics which is of 300 Marks. The duration of this paper is 2:30 hours

·        The second paper is of General Ability of 600 marks. The duration of this Exam also is 2:30 hours

·        After the Written Exam, those aspirants clear the exam give SSB interview which is of 900 marks

WHAT IS THE DAILY ROUTINE IN THE NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY

•    Cadet gets their breakfast at 07:30 am. He has to take a bath, get ready & reach classes after Breakfast by 08:30 am or so. Classes finish by 01:30 pm in the afternoon.

•    The Cadets have to take their lunch after 1:30 Pm. Post which you have your Sports, for whichever Competition is coming up. It could be Football, Hockey, Basketball, X Country, Handball, Athletics, Swimming, Boxing, Volleyball or even PT. A Cadet gets to do all the activities as a part of his Squadron.

•    In the Evening again they get ready to take their bath and after the bath, they prepare for the evening Classes from 6 pm - 8 pm. Orders are passed on from CSM (Sqn Appointment) to the complete Sqn in 20–30 min, then Complete Sqn moves for Dinner.

•    Post dinner you are back in your rooms by 09:30 pm, then you prepare for the next day & Lights out is at 10 pm.

•    Meals are in the Academy Mess. Each meal is a mission in itself. Each cadet has to strive hard to achieve his perks. As you grow Senior, life keeps changing. Responsibilities increase.

•    If you faulted during the day, like you, might get late as distances in the Academy are too much or you are inappropriately dressed, you are liable for punishments. You get a bicycle but many times the bicycle is riding on you.
